General Photography
Although many photographers work specialise in particular types of photography they can appreciate a well taken photograph regardless of the subject matter.
Heading along to a pub gig or helping a friend promote their business can always lead to interesting shots that can be looked upon in years to come to remind folks of the great times they have had and the emotions felt at those moments. Even remembering those great shots you took with a new camera or lens can cast your mind back.
There are a great number of times when just driving around you can marvel at the composition of a bunch of or a single trees or a pond. Sometimes slamming on the brakes and pulling over is not the best option though in some cases.
At the other end of the scale there are a lot of things to think about when it comes to light and how it falls on and around your subject. Mastering most of the controls on a camera such as shutter speed and aperture is fundmental to the act of taking pictures but understanding and making use of (or controlling) lighting is what turns a snap into a photograph.
